Common questions

How do I bring my Anki decks over?

Export your collection or a deck from Anki as an .apkg file (File → Export, with "Include media" and "Include scheduling information" checked), get the file onto your iPhone (AirDrop, Files, iCloud Drive), then in MemSpark choose Import from the Library tab. MemSpark reads a copy — your original file is never modified.

Does my review history carry over?

Yes. MemSpark imports your review history and rebuilds each card's schedule from it, so mature cards stay mature. After import you see a verification summary — notes, cards, reviews, media — counted from what actually landed on your device.

An import stopped halfway. Did I lose anything?

No. Imports are resumable — reopen Import and pick up where it stopped. Import never modifies your source file, so worst case you can always start it again.

Does MemSpark work offline?

Fully. Studying, grading, undo, and stats all work with no connection; changes sync quietly when you are back online. AI card generation is the one feature that needs a connection.

What is free, and what does Plus add?

The study loop is free: import, review, FSRS-6 scheduling, sync, and stats, with no card limits. MemSpark Plus adds unlimited AI card generation — cards from text, photos, PDFs, and image occlusion.

How do I restore my subscription on a new phone?

Sign in with the same account, then use Restore purchases on the Plus screen. Subscriptions are tied to your Apple account, so nothing is lost with a new device.

How do I delete my account and data?

Settings → Delete account removes your account and all synced data from our servers. Decks stored on the device stay until you delete the app. Details in the privacy policy.

Something else?

Write to support@memspark.app. If a deck imported wrong, keep the .apkg file — it makes the fix much faster.
